Fischer's Chameleon
Kinyongia fischeri
Fischer's chameleon is an egg-laying forest chameleon restricted to Tanzania's Nguru Mountains under the current species definition. Adult males have paired flattened snout projections and a long prehensile tail. It is a specialist species: secure leafy climbing space, drinking droplets, airflow and controlled forest temperatures are basic considerations.
Many animals sold under this name are actually other Kinyongia, such as K. matschiei or K. boehmei. Verify identity and provenance before transferring husbandry or breeding records from the trade label.
