Emerald Skink
Lamprolepis smaragdina
The emerald skink is an active, egg-laying tree skink found across parts of Southeast Asia and the western Pacific. Smooth shiny scales, a pointed snout and a long tail distinguish it from green monitors and geckos; many adults are vivid green, while regional colors vary.
Hobby breeders provide tall planted enclosures with branches, retreats, humidity, basking access and suitable lighting. It eats insects and some soft plant foods. Keep provenance with regional forms, since the common name green tree skink does not describe one uniform color.
