Dwarf White Isopod
Trichorhina tomentosa
The dwarf white isopod is a tiny pale terrestrial crustacean commonly cultured as a bioactive cleanup organism. It spends much of its time beneath damp leaf litter and within substrate, feeding on decomposing plant matter and other organic material. Provide consistently moist, ventilated conditions, decayed wood, leaf litter and a calcium source. Colonies reproduce without males, and females release young from a brood pouch. This species should not be confused with unidentified white springtails.
