Chilabothrus angulifer
The Cuban boa is a large, live-bearing boa from Cuba and nearby islands. Adults have a robust brown body with angular dark markings and use both ground cover and trees. It is maintained in specialist and zoo collections, including captive breeding programs. Housing needs secure floor space, sturdy climbing supports, concealed retreats, water and a controlled tropical thermal gradient. Older records use Epicrates angulifer; the accepted genus is Chilabothrus.
