Chinese Leopard Gecko
Goniurosaurus luii
The Chinese leopard gecko is a nocturnal, egg-laying cave gecko of southern China and neighboring Vietnam. It has mottled dark skin, pale bands and orange eyes. Unlike adhesive-toed arboreal geckos, it needs textured climbing surfaces and ground-level shelter. Provide humid retreats, good ventilation and a moderate temperature gradient with protection from heat. Feed appropriately sized supplemented insects. Retain reliable species identification when acquiring breeding stock.
