Central American Banded Gecko
Coleonyx mitratus
The Central American banded gecko is an egg-laying, terrestrial gecko from Central America. Juveniles are strongly banded, while adults often develop a more spotted pattern. It is nocturnal and lacks the adhesive toe pads of climbing geckos. Provide floor space, leaf litter and stable hiding places, including a humid retreat, with ventilation and a controlled temperature gradient. Feed varied, suitably sized supplemented insects.
