Carter's Rock Gecko
Pristurus carteri
Carter's rock gecko is an egg-laying gecko of the Arabian Peninsula. Its sandy body has dark dorsal markings, and the relatively short tail can carry a conspicuous crest used in visual signaling. Unlike many wall geckos, it lacks broad adhesive toe pads. Specialist keepers provide dry ground-level space, stable rock shelters and a controlled basking gradient with access to cooler retreats.
Record the scientific name and origin, since several similar Pristurus live in the region. Its crested tail is normal species anatomy, not a regenerated injury.
