South Pacific Tree Boa
Candoia bibroni
The South Pacific tree boa is a live-bearing boa of island forests in the southwest Pacific. It has a long, slender climbing body, an angular head and variable brown, tan or reddish markings. Specialist collections maintain this arboreal species. Housing needs secure climbing supports, sheltered perches, water and a controlled tropical climate. This is Candoia bibroni; the shared trade name Pacific boa can also refer to C. carinata, so scientific identity matters.
