Crossbred
Crossbred brown-throated conure refers to a hybrid or deliberately mixed line involving Eupsittula pertinax, the brown-throated conure or brown-throated parakeet. This small, mostly green conure is native to northern South America and parts of the southern Caribbean, where many geographic forms have been described. A crossbred bird may involve another conure species or a mix of brown-throated subspecies, so face color, throat tone, size, and voice may not match a single form.
In captivity these birds are active, social parrots rather than standardized breeds. They need a roomy cage or aviary, daily movement, chewable enrichment, bathing opportunities, and a diet built around formulated food with vegetables and limited seed. Their calls can be sharp, and pair bonds may become intense during breeding season. Crossbreds should be placed or sold plainly as hybrids and kept out of subspecies-pure or conservation breeding; parrot transfers may also require wildlife paperwork depending on location.
