Bronze Mantella
Mantella betsileo
The bronze mantella is a small terrestrial frog from Madagascar, often sold as the brown mantella. Its brown to bronze back contrasts with darker sides; it should be distinguished from other members of the betsileo group. Provide planted housing with damp leaf litter, ventilation, moderated temperatures and very small supplemented insect prey. It lays eggs in sheltered terrestrial sites, and tadpoles require suitable water. Keep breeding provenance and geographic identification with each animal.
