Brazilian Blue Dwarf Tarantula
Dolichothele diamantinensis
The Brazilian blue dwarf tarantula is a small egg-laying spider from Brazil with blue legs and contrasting reddish abdominal hairs. It builds substantial silk around low cover and retreats. Captive housing needs secure ventilation, substrate and anchored shelter, fresh water and suitably small insect prey. Its small size does not make it slow: use careful, contact-free maintenance. Keep this species distinct from other spiders sold under broad blue-dwarf trade names.
