Black-legged Poison Frog
Phyllobates bicolor
The black-legged poison frog is a Colombian poison frog with a yellow to orange body and darker limbs. It lays eggs in sheltered terrestrial sites; males transport hatched tadpoles to water. Captive-bred animals need a planted enclosure with leaf litter, humid retreats, ventilation and moderate temperatures that avoid overheating. Feed small, appropriately supplemented live insects. Keep locality and lineage records, and provide separate aquatic conditions suitable for developing tadpoles.
