Bawangling Leopard Gecko
Goniurosaurus bawanglingensis
The Bawangling leopard gecko is an egg-laying cave gecko endemic to Hainan, China. Adults have a brownish-yellow ground color with dark speckling, contrasting transverse bands and reddish-orange eyes. It is a nocturnal insectivore that uses sheltered forest-floor and rocky microhabitats. Captive housing needs textured cover, moist retreats, airflow and moderate temperatures with cooler options. Preserve identification and lineage records rather than mixing different cave gecko species.
