Asian Grass Lizard
Takydromus sexlineatus
The Asian grass lizard is a slender, egg-laying lizard of grassy habitats across southern and Southeast Asia. Cream and dark brown lengthwise stripes run along its bronze body, and its exceptionally long tail can exceed three times its head-and-body length. Hobby keepers maintain it in escape-resistant enclosures with dense fine-stemmed climbing cover, an appropriate light and heat gradient and small insect prey. Provide enough space for the entire tail and nesting substrate for mature females; it is distinct from the green Takydromus species.
