Anderson's Short-Fingered Gecko

Anderson's short-fingered gecko is a nocturnal ground gecko from sandy parts of North Africa and the adjacent Middle East. Large eyes, a pale spotted body, a long whiplike tail and narrow toes with slight fringes distinguish it from geckos with broad adhesive pads. It is kept by small-gecko specialists and lays eggs. A captive setup should offer sandy digging space, stable retreats and a temperature gradient, with suitably small insect prey. It is a different species from Stenodactylus stenurus.
