Anchieta's Dwarf Python
Python anchietae
Anchieta's dwarf python is an egg-laying python from southern Angola and northern Namibia. Its reddish-brown body carries irregular pale cream spots and bands, and its head has distinct granular scales. Rocky, sheltered habitats are characteristic of its native range. It is maintained by specialist breeders. Captive accommodation needs secure retreats, usable floor space and carefully controlled heating, with access to drinking water. Angolan python and escarpment python are alternative names for this species.
