Spook — Silver Highland Bull Calf

Spook is a gorgeous silver Highland bull calf born on Halloween. Don’t let the name fool you — he isn’t spooky, just a little hesitant since he was pasture-raised with his mom and had very little human interaction until around 5 months old.

He’s warming up quickly, especially when snacks are involved. He’s curious, wants to be around people, and has already been around kids. His silver coat is awesome — he was that pretty ash-gray color at birth and now has tons of fluff and dossen.

He measures about 32 inches at the withers at 6 months old. I’d estimate he finishes somewhere around 46 inches, with his sire around 44 inches and dam around 46–47 inches.

We’ve really enjoyed having him around, but we’re going a different direction with our bull program. Hate to see him go, but he’ll make someone a fun and flashy prospect.
