Garvin Family Butcher, LLC

Garvin Family Butcher, LLC provides slaughter and processing services in Rising Sun, Maryland, serving farms throughout the Cecil County region near Elkton. The shop handles cattle, sheep, goats, and pigs, offering a full-service option for producers who need animals harvested and broken down into cuts ready for the freezer.

For farmers raising livestock on a smaller scale, having a local processor cuts down on transport stress for the animals and travel time for the owner. Garvin Family Butcher works with cattle producers finishing beef for direct sale, as well as sheep, goat, and hog operations looking to move animals from pasture to packaged meat. This kind of processing support is often a key piece of the supply chain for regional farms selling directly to customers or supplying local markets.

Producers in the area rely on nearby processors like this one to keep their operations running smoothly, especially during peak harvest seasons when scheduling with larger facilities can be difficult.
