Downing Cattle Company, Inc.

Downing Cattle Company, Inc. offers slaughter and processing services in Fountain Run, Kentucky, serving the broader south-central Kentucky region near Bowling Green.

The facility handles cattle, sheep, goats, and pigs, giving local producers a single stop for both slaughter and processing needs. This kind of full-service setup is useful for cattle operations, small farms, and mixed livestock owners who want to avoid coordinating between separate slaughter and processing providers.

Working with multiple species means the team is accustomed to varying handling and cutting requirements, which can matter for farms raising more than one type of animal or for producers selling directly to customers who want custom cuts. For farmers and ranchers in the Fountain Run area looking to move animals from pasture to freezer without traveling far from home, having processing capacity nearby can simplify planning around harvest schedules and delivery timing.
