Stephen Neil Kwartler

Stephen Neil Kwartler has been breeding fancy guppies from his dedicated fish room and hatchery in Sebring, Florida, in the heart of the Florida Highlands, roughly an hour southeast of Orlando. With more than 40 years of experience, his program is built around long-established strains that are all bred and raised on site.

Kwartler holds considerable standing in the competitive fancy guppy world. He is an IFGA-certified judge of nearly 25 years, a certified IFGA Master Breeder, and has been inducted into the International Fancy Guppy Association Hall of Fame. His strains have earned multiple IFGA World Color Class Championship Awards and numerous Best of Show Awards.

The program centers on half black AOC (any other color) lines, with particular depth in HB Leopards, HB Purples, HB Blues, and HB Greens, as well as American Purple Deltas, Blue Deltas, and Green Deltas. All strains are selected to produce a high percentage of IFGA-recognized delta tail males with matching dorsals. The fish room operates with over 150 filtration setups and eight brine shrimp hatchers, reflecting a methodical, records-driven approach to line breeding that seeks consistent, true-to-type results across generations.
