Skye Bird Hedgehogs

Skye Bird Hedgehogs raises African pygmy hedgehogs in upstate New York near Albany. Cindy Decillis started the operation in 2012 from her own home and has more than ten years of breeding experience. As a member of the Hedgehog Welfare Society and fellow small-mammal care networks, she follows care guidelines to promote health and vitality. Each hog receives regular health checks and routine parasite screenings by an experienced exotic-animal veterinarian, and breeding stock undergoes genetic screening when available.

Animals are socialized from birth and live in spacious, enriched enclosures that are cleaned daily and include bedding, hiding spots, tunnels, wheels, and nesting boxes. Diet plans emphasize balanced nutrition with fresh produce and quality insect protein. Cindy emphasizes early handling to foster gentle temperaments and often shares health updates with adopters. A recent adopter noted calm, well-adjusted pups that adapted quickly to home life.
