Rose City Hedgehogs

Rose City Hedgehogs is an Oregon breeder of African pygmy hedgehogs, serving the Willamette Valley and the Portland area. With more than a decade of experience in small mammal care, Niki Sprauer is a member of the North American Hedgehog Association and follows strict health screening protocols. Routine wellness checks and timely veterinary care are part of its standard practice.

Every hedgehog is raised in a climate-controlled home environment, with gentle handling beginning in the first weeks of life. Enrichment includes supervised floor time and custom-built nesting areas that encourage natural behaviors. Litters are kept small so each hedgehog receives personalized socialization and support before joining a new home. Hedgehogs are fed a balanced diet of high-quality kibble and mealworms, and each young hedgehog leaves with a printed care guide covering habitat setup, feeding schedules and enrichment ideas.
