Quilliam's Corner Hedgehogs

Quilliam’s Corner Hedgehogs, African pygmy hedgehogs in Texas, are located in the Hill Country and central Texas near Austin. Jossilyn Mladenoff has spent more than five years breeding these small mammals with oversight from national hedgehog enthusiast groups and regular veterinary screenings for parasites and overall health.

Each litter is raised in a climate-controlled room with daily handling sessions, balanced nutrition that includes premium cat food, insects, and fresh vegetables, and ample opportunities for gentle exploration. Enclosures mimic natural settings with tunnels, hides, and supervised floor time on soft substrate to encourage safe exercise and reduce stress.

Breeding stock is chosen for even temperaments and clear medical records, and each young hedgehog receives a thorough wellness check before joining a new home environment. One recent owner noted how quickly their hedgehog adjusted to household routines and enjoyed nightly cuddle time in a fleece-lined hide. This hands-on approach reflects Mladenoff’s belief that early socialization and consistent care lay the foundation for confident, well-adjusted pets.
