Pine Meadow Alpacas

Pine Meadow Alpacas is a small family farm raising alpacas along the South Coast of Massachusetts, situated in Mattapoisett not far from the Cape Cod region and the New Bedford area.

Run by Jeff, Heidi, and Diana Paine, the operation has been active in the alpaca industry for over a decade. What began as a focused alpaca farm has grown over the years into a broader educational animal farm, now home to roughly 100 animals spanning a wide range of species — from alpacas and llamas to yaks, goats, sheep, pigs, and more exotic residents like capybaras and a porcupine.

The farm's educational mission is central to how it operates. Animals from the herd participate in a traveling educational program that brings them to schools, fairs, birthday parties, and community events. Those seeking alpacas for sale in Massachusetts can also connect with the farm through its seasonal open farm days, private tours, and holiday events. An on-site shop carries alpaca fiber products including yarn, socks, and boot liners, available by appointment or at special events.
