New Leaf Llama Farm

New Leaf Llama Farm raises llamas in Oregon House, California, situated in the Sierra Nevada foothills about 70 miles northeast of Sacramento. Owner Sarah McGovern tends a herd that has grown to more than 30 animals on 15 park-like acres, where garden paths lead down to a wooded creek.

The farm's program spans both Chilean bloodlines and show-quality stock, with champions and grand champions among its llamas for sale in California. Sarah has spent over a decade breeding and showing llamas, and her dedication to the animals carries through in how the herd is kept and managed across the property.

Alongside the llamas, the farm also houses a small herd of mini-Nubian goats. The setting in Yuba County's Gold Country gives the operation a distinct rural character, and the property's acreage allows animals ample room to roam in a natural, creek-side environment.
