Llc Farms
Shalom Farms raises dairy crosses — primarily Nigerian dwarf goats and mini Mancha goats — on a small family farm in Lincoln, Nebraska, near the greater Omaha-Lincoln corridor. The operation grew out of the owner's lifelong affinity for farm life, rooted in a childhood spent on a dairy farm in southwestern Nebraska.
The herd includes registered Nigerian dwarf does alongside full-size registered LaMancha does, with the LaМanchas bred to Nigerian dwarf bucks to produce miniature LaMancha crosses, sometimes called mini Manchas. This cross is central to the farm's dairy goat program, combining the butterfat-rich milk of the Nigerian dwarf with the higher daily volume of the LaMancha. Dairy cross goats for sale in Nebraska from Shalom Farms come from this intentional pairing rather than random mixing of breeds.
The farm follows a hands-off approach to dehorning — kids born at the property are not disbudded, a policy the owners maintain for reasons related to predator protection and natural temperature regulation. Does are expected to dam-raise their own kids whenever possible, with bottle feeding reserved for situations where a doe cannot support her entire litter.
Shalom Farms operates as a small closed farm, meaning outside animals are not routinely brought in, and animals are raised with outdoor pasture access.
