Le Royaume des Herrisons

Le Royaume des Herrisons breeds African pygmy hedgehogs in Quebec province and eastern Canada near Quebec City. Since 2010, Cynthia Simard has developed breeding lines with a focus on health and temperament. It follows screening protocols recommended by small mammal welfare groups and supports local rescue networks.

Each hoglet is raised indoors in a temperature controlled environment with daily enrichment, family interaction and gentle handling to support confidence. Their spacious habitats include custom hides, nesting areas refreshed daily and supervised playtime outside wired enclosures. Diet plans focus on high protein balanced with fiber, and each animal receives regular wellness checks to monitor growth.
