Indiana Reindeer Company raises reindeer on a farm in Lafayette, Indiana, about 60 miles northwest of Indianapolis in the heart of Tippecanoe County. The operation was founded by Becca and Cadel Crowl, both Purdue University agriculture alumni, who adopted their herd in 2023 after years of raising cattle on the same property.

The Crowls sourced their reindeer from a farm outside of Fairbanks, Alaska, and the animals arrived in Indiana via cargo flight through Indianapolis International Airport. The herd of eight — Juneau, Denali, Willow, Stone, Orzo, Sterling, Butters, and Martina — lives on the Lafayette farm year-round. For the warmer months, the setup includes fans, shaded barns, and cooling pools to keep the animals comfortable in Indiana summers. Veterinary care for the herd comes from a cervid specialist at Purdue University's College of Veterinary Medicine, located just 15 minutes from the farm.

School visits are a particular focus, with on-site presentations covering reindeer care and husbandry.
