I ❤ My Gerbil is Pam Thompson's gerbil breeding program based in Yorkville, Illinois, about 50 miles southwest of Chicago. An American Gerbil Society exhibitor, Pam resumed active breeding in August 2020 with a focus on showing her animals against the AGS breed standard.

The program specializes in Siamese and Burmese color varieties, and also produces a select number of rarer types, including Blue and Rex coats. Selective pairings are guided by specific traits: color, size, eye shape, and overall conformation, always measured against the AGS standard. Health and temperament are treated as the foundation of every pairing, with an emphasis on quality over volume. Gerbil pups follow a structured nutrition plan from three weeks of age onward, reflecting the same hands-on attention given to every stage of development.
