Hodgepodge Hedgehogs

Hodgepodge Hedgehogs is a breeder of African pygmy hedgehogs in eastern Ontario, Canada near Ottawa. Christina Dobma has almost a decade of experience working with small exotic pets and follows recommended health screenings, including regular veterinary checkups, routine fecal exams and detailed breeding records guided by small exotic pet community standards.

Each animal follows a balanced diet tailored by species guidelines, with high-quality protein sources, homemade treats and occasional fresh produce. Her hedgehogs live in a home environment where they receive daily interaction, supervised playtime and environmental enrichment. Gentle handling begins in the first weeks of life to encourage calm behavior.

Litters are introduced to varied textures and safe exercise opportunities to support physical development. Enclosures include secluded resting areas and exercise wheels designed for hedgehog safety. Feedback from recent adopters highlights the friendly nature and alert responses of these young hedgehogs.
