EA Exotics

EA Exotics is a family-run breeder of African pygmy hedgehogs in Columbus, Ohio, serving central Ohio and the Columbus area. It has been breeding hedgehogs for over eight years and adheres to guidelines from the American Hedgehog Association, conducting routine health screenings, fecal exams and genetic considerations. Animals are raised in climate-controlled enclosures enriched with hiding spots, exercise wheels and nesting materials to support natural behaviors.

Each hedgehog receives daily socialization and a diet formulated with high-quality protein sources under guidance from a small-animal veterinarian. Enclosures are cleaned thoroughly on a weekly schedule, and fresh bedding is provided to maintain a hygienic environment. Some of its hedgehogs have appeared at local educational events to introduce visitors to proper small mammal care. EA Exotics offers ongoing support for new owners, advising on feeding, habitat setup and enrichment to foster well-adjusted companions.
