C & H Sugar Gliders

C & H Sugar Gliders is a USDA-licensed, family-owned operation raising sugar gliders in Leavenworth, Kansas, about 30 miles northwest of Kansas City. The program is run by Connie Hodges, whose personal history with sugar gliders stretches back to 1999, when the family kept their first glider before beginning formal breeding in 2018.

The program focuses exclusively on lineaged joeys across a wide range of color morphs, including platinums, cremeinos, reds, leucistics, black beauties, mosaics, and standard grays. Before any joey leaves for its new home, it is examined by a local exotic veterinarian, and males sold as pets are neutered prior to delivery. Joeys are also kept with their colony until at least eight weeks of age to ensure they are mature enough for the transition.
