Afroditedolls breeds ragdoll cats in Bradenton, Florida, situated along the Gulf Coast just south of Tampa. Anna Hjort founded the cattery in 2010, and the program has its roots in Volos, Greece, reflecting a Greek-Swedish family background that now calls the Bradenton area home.

Kittens are raised inside the family home alongside five children and a dog, with an emphasis on socialization from the earliest weeks. Anna is present at each birth, assists with feeding when needed, and handles kittens around the clock to help them grow into confident, people-oriented cats. Wet food introduction begins at four weeks, and kittens receive their first vaccinations at eight weeks followed by a second round at twelve weeks, along with routine deworming throughout that period. Pet kittens are spayed or neutered before leaving, typically around twelve to thirteen weeks of age.
