A & B Mini Ranch

A & B Mini Ranch raises miniature Mediterranean donkeys in Estill Springs, Tennessee, in the Cumberland Plateau region south of Nashville and roughly an hour from Chattanooga. Amanda and Brenda run the operation together, drawing on a lifetime of ranch experience to maintain a carefully selected herd of herdsires and brood jennets.

The program has been producing miniature Mediterranean donkeys in Tennessee for more than ten years, with a focus on conformation, disposition, size, and color. The goal from the start was to hand-pick animals capable of meeting a range of needs, whether for showing, breeding, or life as a companion on a small farm.

Before Covid, the ranch regularly showed its herdsires and brood jennets, and that show background continues to inform how animals are selected and evaluated. The herd shares pasture with cattle, chickens, and other animals, giving donkeys a varied, active farm environment from early on.
