Meet Kenia

Kenia's story

Kenia came to us at 10 weeks old, from a breeder in Chambersburg PA. We have enjoyed staying in touch over the past years. She has had her genetic testing completed, rating an B for Degenerative Myelopathy and an A for Von Willebrand Disease Type 1. As long is she is bred with a male who is clear on DM, her puppies will not be affected! She also is OFA normal elbows and OFA excellent hips!! Her bernegard number is: 212766. You will not find much info on her ancestry though as she is the first of her family to be entered in the database. She has mothered 4 litters of healthy, pudgy pups. Her mom skills are excellent and she teaches her puppies well, even weaning them completely on her own by 5 weeks. An average weight for Kenia is 95 lbs. and her temperament is always gentle. She’s even a bit of a background character sometimes– a do-my-own-thing dog. Numerous ones of her past pups have therapy training on the horizon. Her dad, Rocky died at 7 years. Her mom, Daisy had her last litter at amazingly, age 9 and is now re- tired in PA. She is still doing well.
