This eye-catching bull calf arrived April 2, 2025, out of FTH Belle Starr and sired by H-L Duke.
At first glance, we thought he was red — but within days his coat began to reveal something special: a streaked gray muzzle, darker shading, and black undertones threading throughout his body. Brody also carries a dark face strikingly similar to his grandsire, LEA Broderick, a trait we’re thrilled to see passed down. As he matures, he’s developing very dark, distinguished brindling that continues to intensify. We’ll be DNA testing to confirm color.
Brody is truly a legacy in the making. He’s developing into a thick, deep-bodied young bull with strong structure and natural presence. We love the way he moves — square, confident, and well-balanced. His evolving color, paired with his build and pedigree, positions him as an exciting herd sire prospect with standout potential.
JCA Highlands has been an active owner and breeder of AHCA-registered Scottish Highlands for over 10 years, focused on producing sound, well-structured cattle with proven bloodlines, calm workable temperaments, and strong traditional type.
