Wind Dancer Ranch

Wind Dancer Ranch breeds San Clemente goats in California. The ranch is set on the Central Coast near San Luis Obispo. Lisa Leonard has cared for San Clemente goats for over ten years and holds membership in the American Dairy Goat Association, following recommended health screening protocols for fecal exams and CAE testing.

The herd grazes on open pasture with access to shelter and fresh water, and each animal receives daily handling to build trust. Goats live in minimal stress environments with regular hoof trims and parasite control guided by a local veterinarian. The ranch also welcomes occasional small group visits to share its work in breed conservation and sustainable farming practices.

Detailed lineage records ensure preservation of the breed’s rare characteristics. They raise each kid with daily interaction that builds calm temperaments and prepares goats for safe homestead life.
