Syzygy Farm

Syzygy Farm, Shetland sheep, Tucson, AZ, Pima County and the Sonoran Desert near Tucson. It has been breeding registered Shetland sheep for over a decade, participating in the Shetland Sheep Society and maintaining routine health screening for parasites and foot rot.

All lambs are raised indoors with their mothers and given daily handling to encourage early socialization, with feed and shelter designed to mimic natural grazing conditions. Owners Sonya Lowry and Georgia Lowry participate in regional fiber festivals and share practical tips on pasture management and rotational grazing.

The rural barn on a century-old property provides spacious pens and open pastures, offering a tranquil environment close to wildlife and wildflower blooms. Occasional testimonials note calm temperaments and consistent fleece staple length, reflecting the farm’s steady breeding practices. Wool shearing follows industry standards, with fleeces skirted and graded to maintain consistent quality for handspinners.
