Blue Line Farms
Blue Line Farms, Shetland sheep, Crane, Missouri, is located in the Ozarks near Springfield. The family-run farm is registered with the American Shetland Sheepbreeders Association and follows recommended health screening for joint strength, respiratory health and parasite resistance.
Its sheep graze on rolling pastures adjacent to a ventilated barn, and each lamb receives daily handling to foster calm, social temperaments. Run by a mother-daughter team, the farm’s roots date to a small homestead where care and selective breeding grew into the current flock.
Many of its lambs have earned placings at local fairs and are noted for sturdy build and fine wool. Pasture rotation and natural hoof trimming reflect the farm’s low-intervention care model and support the long-term vitality of every flock member. Lambing takes place from February through April under careful monitoring of birth weights and maternal bonding. Local artisans process its wool into soft heathered yarn.
