AuBel Farm

AuBel Farm are breeders of Shetland sheep in Belding, MI, in Mid-Michigan near Grand Rapids. Warner and Leslie have been raising sheep for over ten years, following guidelines of the Shetland Sheep Society and scheduling annual veterinary health screenings.

They focus on pasture-based management, rotating grazing areas and providing daily handling to foster calm temperaments. Lambs are raised alongside adult sheep to encourage herd instincts and reduce stress. Their barn offers straw bedding and open shelters that support natural behaviors and social bonding within the flock.

They regularly exhibit at county fairs and local fiber festivals, showcasing their sheep’s fleece quality. Selected breeding stock offer a range of natural colors, supporting diverse fiber projects for weavers and knitters. A family-run homestead, AuBel Farm supplies small seasonal batches of soft, fine wool that local artisans appreciate for its consistency and warmth.
