Meridian Farm, Shetland sheep, Petaluma, CA, Sonoma County and the North Bay near San Francisco. Meridian Farm is managed by Emily Foate, who has more than ten years of experience in selective breeding and maintains registration and recommended health testing protocols.

The flock lives on open pasture with nightly shelter, regular health checks and hands-on lamb socialization from birth. Foate’s attention to fleece quality has earned praise for its soft, dense wool prized by handspinners and small-scale artisans. Visitors are welcome to schedule farm tours, observe the flock in its habitat and discuss breeding goals in person.

Meridian Farm follows rotational grazing and sustainable land management practices to support soil health and biodiversity. Foate also provides ongoing guidance for first-time shepherds on pasture management, lamb care and health protocols.
